ABOUT

Roffé Hofmann

BACKGROUND
Roffé grew up in Avon Township, a suburb of Michigan approximately 25 miles North of Detroit. The area grew quickly and became known as Rochester and Rochester Hills. He is the son of German and German/Spanish immigrants, with his first language being German. At age 5, he started learning English to communicate with the teachers and children in school. If you speak the language, he enjoys conversing in his native tongue. If you don’t speak, he’ll be happy to teach you a few popular words.

In his early youth, Roffé was a ski instructor and got his nickname from the Roffé Skiwear Company, now known as Columbia. He served our country in the U.S. ARMY, and was stationed at Ft. Dix and Ft. Langley-Eustis. Later in life, he attended college and attained over 100 credit hours, with nearly 100 of those hours earned at the University of Michigan. Although he never graduated (life happens and was also a great professor), he averaged a 3.9 GPA (caution – he’s an overachiever) and senior status at U of M. Due to his academic achievement, he was invited to join both Beta Gamma Sigma and the Golden Key International Honor Societies as a lifetime member.

Roffé never imagined becoming an insurance salesman, but in 1994 he answered a call to an intriguing newspaper ad that changed his path forever, and he began his career in the Health and Life Insurance industry. Almost 25 years later, his practice has evolved to offer an extensive variety of investment options. He is proficient and devoted to his clients in all aspects of the financial arena. He can be quite the character, which is evident in the profile picture you see on the right (or bottom if viewing in mobile) and prides himself on being able to find the humor in everything (including himself).

Roffé is an avid car buff, and some of his many hobbies include DIY projects (caution – he’s a perfectionist), history, music, reading, cooking new and exciting foods, experiencing different red wines (Cabernet Sauvignon being his favorite), golfing, traveling, or spending time with his significant other. They have two beloved pets, Dafney the Doberman, and Professor ‘X’, a tuxedo cat whose real name is Xavier.

Roffé is a Managing Member and CCO of Association Financial Services, as well as an Investment Adviser Representative (IAR). He is an effective listener and communicator, which has proven to be his most valuable asset when working with clients. He feels an important sense of accomplishment in helping his clients achieve their financial goals. If you would like to continue reading (what most people consider boring), you will find more of Association Financial’s history below. However, we would prefer that you call our office and set-up an appointment, as it’s always better to get to know someone face to face or through video chat and get a sense of our passion and excitement…

We look forward to working with you!

Your Path To A Brighter Future

OUR BUSINESS ACUMEN

In 1998…
he formed Association Services, a successful independent insurance agency accompanied with a strong internet presence which focused on insurance products in Arizona, Michigan, and Ohio. His firm represented many different insurance carriers and specialized in Health, Life, Disability, and Long-Term Care Insurance.

In 2005…
the business model transitioned due to forecasts into the foreseeable future with the Health Insurance industry. Subsequently, a larger concentration began in the IRA, 401(k), 403(b), and 457(b) plan market place. There, financial planning needs were provided to individuals, as well as administrators and educators in school districts across the state of Michigan and Texas. Today, we still provide services for clients that have Health Insurance needs whether they are a group, self-employed, or individual.

In 2014…
Association Services was reincorporated and the company name was changed to Association Financial Services, LLC. Today, financial planning needs are provided to individuals, administrators, and school employees, but now a majority of time is devoted to Social Security and Retirement Education and Planning. Roffé is an Investment Adviser Representative and has clients across the United States. He enjoys traveling across the country conducting workshops, educating people age 55 and older on the many available and often confusing options when applying for Social Security Benefits.
